Welcome
Everyone kept telling me I needed a website. So here we are.

Home: Blog-like entries about publications, author events, new art for sale, maybe conversations with other creatives, and random ponderings.

Publications: Places you can find my work
Events: Gatherings and classes I will be attending or hosting.

Shop: A place you can buy my art and books (or links to them if being sold by another entity).

About: You're already here.

Contact: Where you can send a message through the website.
Basic Rundown
At the core, I'm a writer, artist, student, and educator. We can add on other qualifiers like parent, editor, member of the queer community, Capricorn, dual citizen in the UK, etc... until we spark a migraine.

I earned my BA in Environmental Studies from the University of Toledo, my MFA in Creative Writing from Bowling Green State University, and my Ed.D in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from Eastern Kentucky University.

I'm originally from Toledo, Ohio, and have called the counties in southeast Kentucky home since 2010. After teaching writing, English, and various other humanities courses at colleges and universities for 17 years, I left higher education and began working for a historical and cultural non-profit, the Hindman Settlement School, where I am honored to serve as Literary Arts Director.

I believe in creating, in fairness and sharing, and in eternally learning.

Thank you for the time you share with me.
